3rd Annual Family Service Day
The third annual O.L.A. Service Day on Saturday, April 21, 2018 started at 9:00 AM with a beautiful sunny day. Over 90 people gathered in Linus Hall for coffee, juice, and donuts, and to pick up their O.L.A Service Day t-shirts. After a prayer from Father Lowe, the volunteers headed out to various organizations in the local community. For two hours, parishioners helped these organizations with general clean up, light landscaping, or visiting with residents at nursing homes. The volunteers provided assistance at Franciscan Village, American Legion-Fairview Park, Laura’s Home, the Cleveland Police/Firefighters Memorial, Kamm’s Corners Development, Alger Cemetery, and Fairview Park Cemetery, all of which voiced their gratitude for the help. Thanks goes out to all the dedicated volunteers, event organizers, and Father Lowe for committing their valuable time and resources to make this event a success. Without the commitment from so many people, O.L.A. could not have such a big impact on the community. As seen from these photographs, everyone had a great time and gave a strong witness to our faith. Thank you all!
