Cleveland Clinic Banner School

Dear Principal Krupar,

This year has posed unprecedented challenges to educational organizations across the country and around the world. The resolve, ingenuity, and adaptability you have shown in response to COVID-19 were evident long before this pandemic, however, and have distinguished Our Lady of Angels as a 2019–2020 Cleveland Clinic Banner School. This award recognizes your noteworthy success in leveraging community resources to advance student learning.

Cleveland Clinic K–12 Education offers School Programs designed to promote health and wellness, academic achievement, and career preparedness for students in grades K through 12. It takes ambitious teachers and encouraging administrators, though, to deliver these opportunities to students. The effort Katy Pohorence, Colleen Lull, Ben Katzbach, and Christina Darrah invested in implementing the Health Unleashed!™ Program and the support you provided in the process demonstrate an exceptional commitment to student enrichment and distinguish Our Lady of Angels as a 2019–2020 Cleveland Clinic Banner School: a distinction earned by fewer than 24% of the 264 schools in ten states that participated in our K–12 Education School Programs this year.
