Welcome to Music at OLA!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All students Preschool through 8th<\/sup> grade participate in music class during the day. Instruction is anchored in the Diocese of Cleveland Creative and Performing Arts Standards for Music. These standards focus on creating, performing, and, responding to music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Band<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Band is open to all students in 4th<\/sup> through 8th<\/sup> grade who would like to learn to play a band instrument. These instruments include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, and percussion (drums\/xylophone). Sign-up happens in the early fall. Students who are new to playing an instrument and those who have taken lessons before are welcome to participate. Classes meet twice a week after school. Band students perform a Christmas and spring concert and other times if the opportunity arises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choir<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choir is open to all students in 5th<\/sup> through 8th<\/sup> Grade. Choir learns music to perform for concerts and also music for Mass during the week. Choir practices twice a week, one of these time is before school Wednesday to prepare for Mass.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
