The curriculum of Our Lady of Angels School attempts to ensure that academic success is attained by all of our students. As a Catholic school, our program is permeated with a spirit of mutual respect and concern for each individual. We utilize a curriculum developed by the Diocese of Cleveland in compliance with the Ohio State Standards. The curriculum includes:
- Religion
- ELA
- Reading
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- Music
- Art
- Physical Education
- Spanish
- Computer: Students are one-one with Ipads or chromebooks
Religion is taught daily in all grades and students attend Mass weekly. The Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation are celebrated as a parish event. Service plays an essential role in the life of OLA students. They have visited Franciscan Village, packaged meals at the Cleveland Food Bank, written cards and letters to the veterans, made sandwiches for the St. Edward Labre Ministry, and collected items for various organizations that assist the poor and needy, especially the St. Patrick Food Pantry.
Our Lady of Angels students also participate in a yearly celebration known as Peace Day. The school sets aside a day to promote peace in our neighborhood and in our school. As one important activity, our students create a peace trinket that is taken door to door in the neighborhood.
