Jesus, as teacher, has modeled for us the care and concern that we must have for the young people of our parish. He welcomed children; He taught children. There is no doubt that children love Jesus and that they feel loved by Him.
As catechists, the teachers will try to follow the example of Jesus as well as enabling the children to grow in their capacity to relate to others, to love others, and be loved by others in return.
We are committed to proclaiming the goodness of God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We will do this through teaching the Catholic faith, through prayer, knowledge of the liturgy, developing moral growth, and social responsibility.
Our Parish School of Religion is the part of our parish community committed to sharing a solid vibrant program of Catholic Faith and service with the children of our parish that do not have the opportunity to attend the parish’s day school.
Our program is centered on Jesus Christ and encourages a relationship with Him. It flows from Scripture; follows the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other Church documents. Catholic doctrine is based on sound Theology and Tradition. It nurtures faith, hope, and love in students and prepares them for Christian leadership by relating life experiences to the Good News.
