Catholic Discipleship: More Than A Nice Idea – A Way Of Life
“Are Catholics called to Discipleship? I thought that was for Protestants!”
By virtue of our baptism, every Christian is called to discipleship. It’s not mysterious, it’s not scary, it’s not difficult – but it is one of the most fulfilling aspects of our life in Christ. During this Lenten evening of Reflection, we’ll explore what discipleship means, and how we can embrace it in our own spiritual lives.
Join Deacon Mark Yantek as he addresses the members and guests of the OLA Guild on Thursday evening, March 19th at 7 o’clock in the Oratory. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this thought-provoking, uplifting session as we prepare our hearts to experience the Sacred Triduum and the joy of Easter!
The Guild is a group of women that meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM. The general meetings consist of business, entertainment, snacks, and socializing. The group hosts various events and fundraisers throughout the year, such as a Night of Reflection, a Potluck Dinner, and the Toy Drive. The Guild also lends a hand at parish events such as working in the kitchen at the annual Fall Festival. Yearly dues at $5.00. If you are interested in joining or learning more about The Guild, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
